The Scholarships Program
We know how tough life has gotten in Haiti for the past two decades. We also know how neglected the public schools system really is. We also never stop believing that EDUCATION is key to success. This is why we create this scholarships programs to assist students with high GPA who lack the economic opportunities to attend a good performing private school.
On July 31, 2021, we officially launched our scholarships. Five scholarships will be offered to underprivileged middle and high school students with good grades. In the next few years, we will also include scholarships for students with great athletic skills who has proved to be among the best in a sports discipline.
Although we would like to provide scholarships to students who are pursuing their higher education, we regret that our limited resources only allow us to focus now on the pre-teens and teens in middle and high schools.

The Summer Camp
Schools are the place where most kids learn how to be intellectual and how to succeed academically in life. But success sometimes goes beyond someone's academic potential.
In collaboration with Aji pou Chanje (AC) and RAFASGE, Fondasyon Mant Filo is hosting a 6-week long Summer Camp Program where kids
from 7-year to 15-year old will get the opportunity to participate in fun and
brain stimulating activities that can help them learn positive social and organizational skills, acquire and practice critical thinking and communication skills, build high self-esteem, increase self-confidence, develop personal growth, play sports, visit local cultural and historical sites.
We had initially planned to start the Summer Camp on July 20th and to welcome up to 300 kids, but due the political unrest and school official exams being reported to the last week of July, we had to make adjustments. The Camp starts instead on August 2nd, 2021. Due to COVID outbreak and to accommodate with health requirements, we reduce the intended number of participants from 300 to 100. They will be served breakfast and lunch every day from Monday to Thursday. They will be divided in three groups based on their age category, 7 to 9-year old, 10 to 12-year old, and 13 to 15-year old. There will be two or three classrooms for each age category based on the number of kids registered by age group.
Each classroom will have three caring and mature adults acting as camp counselors. Twice a week,
other authorized adults (especially university students and graduates as well as known professionals) will hold a 50-minute presentation in the form of training, lecture or motivational speech. Two basketball coaches, two volleyball coaches and two soccer coaches will train kids authorized by their parents to partake in sports activities.
WANT TO BE A SPONSOR?
YOU CAN
It’s easy. If you have the financial means and you are generous enough to be willing to help, there are two ways you can do that:
1) you can sponsor a child's education. You simply have to pledge to pay her or his annual tuition costs and deposit the money through our scholarships fund. Contact us so we can explain you how
2) You can sponsor our Summer Camp, our school supplies giveaway or our tutoring programs by giving special fund and indicate which program you want your money to go toward.
If you can't donate money to our programs, don't feel bad. Money is not everything. So, if are a responsible and trusted adult, you can volunteer as a class instructor, as trainer, lecturer or motivational speaker for the camp attendees.
If you are a respected professional who lives in Haiti or lives abroad but constantly travels to Haiti, you can donate time and expertise throughout the year. You can volunteer to be a mentor to a group of children. Are you interested? Ask us how and we will guide you through the process

The Mentoring Programs
Most children, while growing up, are constantly looking for role models in different aspects of life. If you are successful at something, whether it's playing sports, creating good arts, doing business, carrying out tasks related to your profession, there is at least a child in your environment who wishes to be just like you.
So, why not sharing your experience with the pre-teens and teens in Gonaives. We are sure your skills and knowledge will inspire them.
Our Mentoring Programs are open to children from all social backgrounds, ages 8 to 15. Every other weekend, the kids registered in the FMF Mentoring Program get to meet a mentor for up to 120 minutes.
So, if you think you have what it takes to a good mentor, we can connect you with groups of kids who are looking for role models they can be proud of and we are confident you will have the pleasure to call their your protegés. Your time lecturing them will surely have positive impact on them.

The Free Tutoring Programs
It has been proven over and over that with help of a tutor, a lot of children are able to improve their academic performances and some even excel in class.
A weekly FREE Tutoring Program for qualified children (2 days a week) is the most effective way we can help those children whose grades need improvement get better.
